Tom is a research associate for the Global Entrepreneurship Network. He is responsible for identifying the most effective policies and tools policymakers have used around the world to stimulate innovation and help entrepreneurs unleash the full potential of their ideas. Tom’s background is in the world of British politics but he used the global pandemic as an opportunity to reset his career with a pivot towards freelance research (a move that allowed him to travel across 10 different countries while developing his policy expertise). During this time, he worked on projects researching tech and innovation with organisations such as the Coalition for a Digital Economy (Coadec), the Centre for Entreprenuers (CFE) and Beauhurst.
