Pauly is the Director for Startup Programs at the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), where he is responsible for running and growing GEN's key startup and investor programs.
In support of GEN, Pauly launched Global Entrepreneurship Week Ohio in 2017, a statewide celebration of Ohio innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2020, both Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted recognized GEW as an recognized week to celebrate Ohio entrepreneurship. He is the Co-Host at Greyt Culture, a cultural organization supporting local entrepreneurs and artists in Cleveland, Ohio. He also advises companies developing VR-enabled products and services. He was formerly the Business Director at BioflightVR, a virtual reality (VR) healthcare education company. The company has developed products alongside Facebook, Oculus, Ohio Medicaid, and Case Western Reserve University. He also sits on the advisory board of a local VR therapy company called Immersive Cure (Acquired).
In restaurants and hospitality, Pauly helped open three restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. He also sits on the advisory board of FS Genius, a food-service equipment training and education startup. Pauly studied Environmental Sciences at Ohio University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kent State University, where he focused on the neuropsychology and human and organizational psychology. He also received certifications in management from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals.
