On August 25, the Latvian national finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) took place, where five promising Latvian start-ups competed for the opportunity to get into the global finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as for a prize pool of USD 1 million. According to the jury vote, the Latvian winner was Longenesis, a health technology start-up from Riga that accelerates the pace of clinical trials in the pharmaceutical industry multiple times. The people's choice award went to Uniscopia Group, which has developed the e-commerce platform Printscopia, offering its customers the possibility to buy various products created with 3D technology, as well as to order the creation of various 3D products themselves.
The winner of the Latvian finals received a special prize, a ticket to the international business conference WebSummit in Lisbon, Portugal, as well as participation in the Entrepreneurship World Cup Accelerator. All the participants have reaped benefits from this competition - all five finalists will have the opportunity to receive Franklin Covey business coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence.
After winning the Latvian national final, the startup Longenesis will continue its journey in the next round - on a global level, competing against winners from 200 other countries to be among the top 100 companies. To better prepare for the Entrepreneurship World Cup global finals, Longenesis will participate in a special online training which will include mentoring sessions with international mentors aimed at better understanding the start-up's current stage of development and potential growth opportunities. The global finals will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will bring together top companies from around the world.

In the people’s vote, which was open a few days before the competition and also during the finals, Uniscopia Group was named the winner of the people's choice award, receiving a coffee machine and aromatic coffee from the local brand Es Mīlu Kafiju (I Love Coffee) as the prize.
Five companies - Longenesis, My3D.Cloud, Naco Technologies, OX Drive and Uniscopia Group - competed in the Latvian national finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup.

Swedbank represents the Global Entrepreneurship Network in Latvia since October 2020. This representation comes with the unique right to organize, for already the second time, the EWC national finals in Latvia which is the world’s leading innovative entrepreneurship ecosystem and takes place in over 200 countries. This year the finals were open to Latvian companies registered and founded in Latvia in 2016 or later and having the turnover of up to five million euros.
