Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), a premier program of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, was launched on June 01st, for 2022. In the Caribbean, Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) kicked off on June 05th with a launch zoom session which doubled as orientation for new National Organizers and a refresher for those returning. EWC is a program that helps entrepreneurs at all stages maximize their potential. It combines a broad-reaching pitch competition, aimed at ventures ranging from idea stage to growth stage, with a virtual accelerator program to help all participants launch, strengthen and scale their enterprises.
GEN Caribbean, an entrepreneurship ecosystem community, powered by the Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods (COESL) including partners, Red Diamond Inc and Le Grand Solutions, are the Regional Organizers of EWC Caribbean. This year, 21 countries are expected to participate, building on 17 last year. These include the Overseas Country Territories (OCTs). Countries participating for the first time this year include the Bahamas, The Cayman Islands, Bonaire and Aruba. Other countries returning include Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Martin, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.

As National Organizers promote EWC in their countries, select judges and invite partners to become a part of this programme, we encourage everyone in the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the participating countries to support and become engaged.
This programme can yield significant benefits for those who participate, from free perks to free training resources, networking, and mentoring. For the National Organizers, it provides an excellent regional integration tool, as it serves to mobilize leaders who support MSME entrepreneurs, business owners as well as entrepreneurs themselves.
